Drought Relief: Standing Together for Our Elephants

Drought Relief: Standing Together for Our Elephants

25 Jan 2026

The Southern Cape is facing the worst drought in 126 years. The land is dry, the rivers are strained, and nature is under immense pressure.

At Indalu Game Reserve, our elephants and grazing herbivores, currently rely on us every single day. To keep them healthy, calm, and nourished through these harsh conditions, we must supplement their diet with lucerne and available hay daily - a vital lifeline when the land can no longer provide enough grazing on its own.

Caring for elephants and antelopes is a long-term commitment, especially in times like these. Right now, we need the help of our community - people who love wildlife, believe in conservation, and understand that these gentle giants depend on human compassion when nature struggles.

Any donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward feeding our elephants and grazing herbivores, ensuring their well-being during this historic drought. Your generosity helps us protect not just animals, but a legacy of care, respect, and coexistence with nature.

Thank you for standing with us - and with them. Together, we can help our animal family weather this season and emerge stronger.
